It also boasts the world’s first nailable solar shingle, the Timberline Solar Energy Shingle™ (ES). Lightweight, durable, and powerful, the Timberline Solar ES™ generates energy from the sun and goes down like a dream on the roofing deck. You don’t need special underlayments or advanced electrical skills; you just need the usual roofing crews and supplies.
We like to say, “It’s a roof. With energy. It’s that simple.” Timberline Solar™ looks good, supplies energy to the home, saves homeowners money, and can grow roofing businesses. There’s no better time to go solar than when you need your roof replaced, and this product makes that option easy.
It’s won a whole bunch of awards, too, including Best of Innovation in “Smart Cities” at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), presented by the Consumer Technology Association, the premiere technology organization in the world. Timberline Solar™ is also the first product to attain UL 7103 certification, cementing its dual performance as both a roofing and solar system in a single product.
Oh, and it’s developed and assembled in the U.S., at GAF Energy’s state-of-the-art R&D and manufacturing facility in San Jose, California. #Americanmade.
For now, Timberline Solar™ is available only in select markets. We’ll be rapidly expanding, though, so stay tuned. You can’t get energy from every roof unless everyone can choose a solar roof.
